Imo O. Imo has extensive experience in the insurance industry, holding various leadership positions in different companies. Imo started their career at UBA Insurance (HEIRS Ins Ltd) in 2004 as the Head of Claims & Reins before moving on to UBA Metropolitan Life Insurance in 2007 as the Head of Research & Training Support. In 2008, they joined Cornerstone Insurance Plc as the Head of Research and Development, where they were responsible for appraising business performance, conducting competitor and market analysis, and producing industry and market update reports. Imo then joined Law Union & Rock Insurance PLC in 2012 as the Head of Strategy & Planning. Currently, they are working at Linkage Assurance Plc, where they have held several roles including Head of Strategy & Business Development, Head of Agricultural Insurance Desk, and Chief Strategy & Product Officer.

Imo O. Imo's education history begins in 1983 when they enrolled at the Federal University of Technology Owerri in Nigeria. Imo completed their Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Technology with a focus on Animal Sciences in 1988.

In 2001, Imo pursued further education at the University of Lagos, where they obtained a Master's degree in Management in 2003.

Imo's educational journey continues as they are currently a PhD candidate at Joseph Ayo Babalola University, specializing in Entrepreneurship/Sustainability. This program began in 2021 and is expected to be completed by 2023.

In addition to their academic degrees, Imo has earned several certifications. In 1993, they obtained the MNIM certification from the Nigerian Institute of Management, and in 2021, they became an AIIN Associate from the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
