Akanksha Bindal

Akanksha Bindal is an accomplished Machine Learning professional with extensive experience in leading innovative projects and teams across prominent technology companies. Currently serving as a Machine Learning Tech Lead at LinkedIn, Akanksha has successfully bootstrapped the Video Recommendation experience and launched real-time retrieval experiences. Prior roles include Machine Learning Engineer at Facebook, where a ranking strategy for Instagram Direct Search resulted in improved search success, and Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Apple, contributing to the development of trigger-less conversations for Siri and implementing models to reduce false alarms. Akanksha began a research career at Georgia Institute of Technology and has also worked at NVIDIA, IIIT-Delhi, and Leaf Innovation Pvt. Ltd. Akanksha holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
