Amyn Thawer

Amyn Thawer is currently the VP & Head of Global Compliance & Integrity at LinkedIn. Prior to this, they served as the Business Ethics Officer, Senior Director, Global Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at eBay from January 2006 to December 2014. In this role, they were responsible for building out eBay Inc.'s global compliance program helping eBay achieve World Most Ethical Company honor from Ethisphere in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Amyn also led a team of Business Ethics Officers to drive best practices in corporate governance and ethics across the globe. Other notable accomplishments during their time at eBay include advising key business stakeholders to effectively manage legal, compliance and ethics risks, managing major internal investigations, and serving on the board of the eBay Foundation.

Amyn Thawer has completed a joint JD/MBA program at McGill University in the fields of corporate law and international business. Amyn also holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences from the University of Ottawa, with a focus on international politics. In addition, Amyn Thawer has completed internships with the US Senate Summer Internship Program at the University of Michigan, and with the French Studies program at Lycee Leon Bourgeois in Epernay France. Amyn has also received certification from LinkedIn in digital accessibility for the modern workplace and Jeff Weiner on managing compassionately.

Amyn Thawer reports to Blake Lawit, SVP & General Counsel. They are on a team with Hanh Vo - VP & Head of Commercial Legal, Mindy Heppberger - Chief of Staff, Legal, and Henry Fong - VP, Legal, Employment & Intellectual Property.
