Jake Perez

Jake Perez is a Sr. Editor at LinkedIn News, where they lead a team of journalists in producing engaging content on business, tech, and employment topics. With a rich history as an Author-Publisher, Jake wrote and published "Sweet Coco: Chocolate Maker's Apprentice," which received acclaim from specialty chocolatiers, and its sequel "Sweet Coco: Dessert With Dad," which highlights Hispanic culture. They co-created and host the podcast "Reconciled," focusing on themes of healing and peace, while also having co-founded a project-based writing program for middle school students in Atlanta. Prior to their current roles, Jake worked as a writer and segment producer at CNN for nearly two decades. They hold a Master of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Florida International University.
