Rafael Kato

Rafael Kato is the Senior Managing Editor, Latin America and Spain at LinkedIn. Previously, they worked as the Tech Editor at Abril Mídia from June 2008 to May 2018. In this role, they acted as a product manager for EXAME HOJE, a new app with business news for Exame’s subscribers. Rafael was also the executive editor at the Mentorship program for SME with top Brazilian CEOs. This program is been made in partnership with Fundação Dom Cabral. Rafael is a winner of CNI Prize 2016 in the category Innovation for the news article Geração Startup (Generation Startup), published in November/2015 and that was written with two others journalists. Prior to their work at Abril Mídia, Rafael was an intern at Universidade de São Paulo from March 2007 to May 2008 and Terra from January 2007 to March 2007. Rafael also worked as a free lancer at Folha da Vila Alpina from August 2006 to March 2007.

Rafael Kato completed an accelerated management program at Yale School of Management and a bachelor's degree in journalism at Universidade de São Paulo. Rafael also attended ILSC Education Group.
