Shan

Shan Ba is currently a data science applied researcher and staff software engineer specializing in machine learning at LinkedIn. They serve as the chair-elect for the Quality & Productivity Section of the American Statistical Association and are also a member of the QSR Advisory Board for INFORMS. Previously, Shan was the group head data scientist at Procter & Gamble and an assistant professor of statistics at Portland State University. They hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering (Statistics) from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Shan's research has been published in several leading journals and has earned notable awards, including the Lloyd S. Nelson Award and the Jack Youden Prize.
