Walter Shields

Walter Shields is a seasoned expert in data science and analytics with extensive experience in course creation, training, and data engineering. Currently leading the Walter Shields Data Academy since 2012, Walter specializes in empowering individuals and organizations through data analytics skills across multiple platforms, including online courses and live training. As a course creator for LinkedIn, Walter develops comprehensive content in Data Analysis, SQL, and data visualization tools. More recently, Walter has been working with Mazda North American Operations as a Data Literacy Content Creator and Trainer. Previous roles include significant positions at companies such as Bromelkamp, Sojourn Solutions, and Ropes & Gray LLP, where Walter managed full life cycle projects and created advanced data solutions. Walter holds a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Metro State University and furthered education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
