Linking Futures is an upstream advisory and authorship firm. We operate at the point where decisions are still forming—before commitments harden, risk becomes embedded, and accountability begins to fracture. Our focus is on the early stages of decision-making, where clarity, independence, and sound judgement have the greatest impact on long-term outcomes.

Our work sits at the intersection of culture, policy, capital, and accountability, supporting leaders, boards, and institutions navigating complexity, public scrutiny, and system-level change. In these environments, risk is often present but unspoken, authority is dispersed, and responsibility can become misaligned. Linking Futures helps decision-makers see these dynamics clearly before action is taken.

We are engaged when organisations need to slow thinking without delaying progress—when the cost of proceeding without clarity is higher than the cost of pausing to examine assumptions, roles, and consequences. Our role is not advocacy, compliance, or delivery. We do not manage programs, implement projects, or embed within operational teams. This distance is intentional and essential to maintaining independence.

Linking Futures provides framing, sense-making, and independent judgement so others can act with confidence and legitimacy. By remaining upstream and time-bound, we are able to surface structural risks, governance tensions, and unexamined expectations that are often difficult to name internally and are typically only recognised once failure occurs.

The value of our work lies in judgement applied deliberately and sparingly. We are engaged when decisions carry long-term consequence—where cultural, financial, reputational, and institutional risks intersect and must be understood together rather than in isolation. By clarifying what is at stake early, we support decisions that are more coherent, defensible, and durable over time.

Linking Futures exists to support clarity before commitment. Our role is not to
