Manuel Noia Mariño began their career in 2008 as a Materials Science Researcher at Instituto de Ceramica de Galicia. In 2010, they became an International Fellow at SRI International. The following year, they volunteered as a guide in the Argentina expedition for One Million Lights. In 2012, they Co-Founded Linknovate and became the Chief Executive Officer. In 2015 and 2016, they worked on the H2020-ICT project, HOLA CLOUD, which was aligned with Linknovate's mission to support top quality research. Manuel was also a part of the StartX company at Stanford University startup accelerator program in 2013.
Manuel Noia Mariño has an extensive education history. Manuel earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in 2001-2006. Manuel then attended Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Materials Engineering from 2006-2009, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from 2006-2007. Manuel returned to Universidad de Santiago de Compostela and earned a Master's degree in Materials Sciences from 2008-2010, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science from 2009-2014. During their studies, they also received a Scholarship from the Alumni Association (scholars) of the Barrie Foundation from 2010-2013, and took Business Courses in Entrepreneurship/Tech ventures at Stanford University from 2011-2012. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Microsoft Accelerator, Coursera, and StartX.
