Ashley Balius

Ashley Balius has held various positions throughout their work experience. Ashley served as the Director of Community Outreach and Assistance at Linn County since March 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager of Financial Stability at United Way of East Central Iowa from June 2015 to March 2018. Ashley also interned at the City of Iowa City, where they worked in the Neighborhood Services and Public Art department from January 2014 to June 2015, and as a Development Services intern from May 2014 to August 2014. Ashley gained administrative experience as a Student Administrative Assistant at the United States Attorney's Office from June 2012 to May 2013. Additionally, Ashley worked at Pizza Hut as a Shift Manager from September 2008 to June 2012. Ashley also contributed their skills at the Iowa Senate as a Senate Secretary from January 2012 to April 2012, and as a Communications Intern from August 2011 to January 2012. Ashley's earliest work experience was at The University of Iowa Pharmaceuticals, where they worked as a Student Technician from October 2007 to December 2008.

Ashley Balius obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from the University of Iowa between 2007 and 2012. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Urban and Regional Planning from the same university from 2013 to 2015.
