Karla Christian

Karla Christian is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Director of Public Relations for Linn Mar Community Schools since July 2004. In this role, Karla leads and provides strategic direction for the Human Resources function in a school district with 1,200 employees, partnering with the executive team to ensure quality education for all students. Prior experience includes serving as Human Resources Manager at Archer Daniels Midland, where Karla established the Human Resources Department for a 320-employee facility, and at Methode Electronics, where Karla advanced from Generalist to HR Manager with a focus on recruiting and employee relations. Karla holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations/Communications from the University of Northern Iowa, obtained in 1994.
