Mir Hossain has worked in the software engineering field since 2006. Mir began their career as a Computer Lab Assistant at California State University, East Bay. In 2008, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at San Diego State University Research Foundation, where they created a rudimentary Air Pollution Prediction Model by using past 10 years of weather and air pollution data. In 2009, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Gudgie, where they created intuitive web applications using Django. From 2010 to 2011, they worked at Tiny Prints as a Software Engineer II and Sr. Web Engineer 1, where they created and maintained software for the company's personalization engine using Java, PHP and JavaScript. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Tinyprints/Shutterfly as a Sr. Web Engineer 2, where they were part of the software architecture team and their primary responsibility was to architect, develop, review, and maintain software for the company's websites. Finally, from 2013 to present, Mir has worked at Linqia as a Director of Engineering, Software Engineering Manager, Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, and Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they have worked with product stakeholders to review roadmap, set t-shirt sizes to roadmap items, and set timelines. Mir has also been responsible for majority of the backend systems for Linqia's new Resonate platform, as well as hiring devops and backend engineers for their team.
Mir Hossain attended California State University - East Bay from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a B.S. in Computer Science. Mir also attended San Diego Miramar College from 2008 to 2008 and obtained an Associate degree in Transfer Studies. In 2012, they obtained a Machine Learning certification from Coursera.
