Dr. Feldman is a founding member of the Linshom team. Since earning a Ph.D. degree in 1965, Dr. Feldman has been actively engaged in theoretical and experimental studies in laboratory settings and in astrophysics. Since 2002 Dr. Feldman has held the position of senior scientist with Artep Inc. Starting in 1972 and until his retirement in 2001 as a senior scientist from the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Dr. Feldman participated in studies of data that were acquired by a variety of space instruments as well as by instruments coupled to extremely high power lasers. Dr. Feldman held a two‑year postdoctoral fellowship between 1965 and 1967 at Goddard Space Flight Center and in 1968 he moved to Tel –Aviv Univeristy. In 1969 he was appointed as the first Director of the Wise Astronomical Observatory, where he supervised the construction of the observatory and its early operation. The Observatory includes a 40‑inch stellar telescope and a smaller solar telescope. Dr. Feldman is an author or co‑author of over 430 scientific papers published in refereed journals. He is a member of the International Astronomical Union, and a Fellow of the Optical Society of America and the American Physical Society.
