Lead Biostatistician And Data Scientist at Linus Health

Daniel Schulman has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and industries. Daniel currently holds the position of Lead Biostatistician and Data Scientist at Linus Health since July 2023. Previously, from 2015 to 2023, they worked at Philips Research North America, first as a Senior Scientist and then as a Research Staff member. During their time at Philips, Daniel led various projects focused on predictive modeling, computer vision-based monitoring, and behavioral health coaching systems. Prior to that, they served as a Medical Informatics Fellow at the Veterans Health Administration from 2013 to 2015, where they conducted independent research on physical activity promotion and assessment. Daniel's career began as a PhD student at Northeastern University from 2005 to 2013, where their research focused on virtual conversation agents and their applications in health behavior change and patient education. Prior to their PhD studies, they worked as a software developer at MOTU from 2001 to 2005.

Daniel Schulman received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Neuroscience from Brandeis University in 2001. Daniel later pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer and Information Science from Northeastern University, which they completed in 2013.
