Arno Matthee

Arno Matthee is an experienced brewing professional currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Brewmaster at Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC since October 2021. Prior to this role, Arno held the position of Technical Director at Tarsilinx from December 2015 to October 2021, managing a large craft brewery and distillery. Arno's background also includes working as a Brewing Consultant for SABMiller in the Africa hub from July 2009 to December 2015. Arno's educational qualifications comprise a Post Graduate Diploma in Malting and Brewing Science from Herriot Watt University, an IBD Packaging Diploma from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from the University of the Free State and the University of the Orange Free State, respectively.
