Marcela Morales started their work experience in 2012 as a Kitchen Assistant at ASI at CSUS. Marcela then worked as a Student Intern at Dreyfuss & Blackford Architects in 2013 before becoming an Architectural Intern at Pacific Design Group later that year. In 2014, Marcela worked as a Student Assistant at Facilities Management at CSUS Planning and Design. Marcela then became an Interior Designer at Calpo Hom & Dong Architects from 2016 to 2017. In 2019, they worked as an intern at Dustrud Architects and later as a Planning Intern at The Urban Collaborative, LLC. Currently, Marcela is employed as a Designer 1 at Lionakis starting from July 2020.

Marcela Morales has a diverse educational background. Marcela obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Interior Design with a Concentration in Interior Architecture from California State University-Sacramento. During their time at the university from 2009 to 2015, they also pursued a minor in Japanese, focusing on Japanese Language and Culture.

In 2015, Marcela had an opportunity to study abroad at Yokohama National University. This study abroad program allowed their to explore various fields of study, including JOY (subjects related to Japanese language, culture, and society) and the College of Engineering and Sciences.

Marcela continued their academic journey at the University of Oregon, where they pursued a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree. From 2017 to 2020, they focused on the field of Architecture, delving into advanced concepts and building upon their previous knowledge and skills.
