Ivo Hegeman

Ivo Hegeman has a diverse range of work experience. Currently, they are working as a Design Engineer / Project Lead at LioniX International since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a PhD Student at Universiteit Twente from September 2018 to November 2021. During their time at Universiteit Twente, they also served as a Voorlichter Technische Natuurkunde, providing guidance to high school students in making their study choices, from March 2012 to September 2018. Furthermore, they worked as a Student-assistant and was responsible for guiding and evaluating optics practicals for first-year students from February to April 2016. Ivo also fulfilled the role of a Student-assistant for the first-year students of Technische Natuurkunde, where they guided practicals and evaluated lab journals, from September to November 2012. Before joining Universiteit Twente, they were engaged with S.V. Arago, where they held various committee positions from October 2011 to 2018. Ivo served as the Commissaris Interne Betrekkingen from March 2013 to March 2014, overseeing the activities within the Arago academic society. Ivo was also the Commissaris Onderwijszaken during the same period, acting as a liaison between the faculty and students of Technische Natuurkunde and monitoring the quality of education. Additionally, Ivo Hegeman was also involved with D.R.V. Euros as a member of the Euros Introductie Commissie, where they served as the penningmeester and contributed to member recruitment and promotion of the rowing association from March 2013 to September 2014.

Ivo Hegeman has a strong educational background in the field of physics. Ivo began their education at Almere College (Dronten) from 2005 to 2011, where they focused on the study of Nature & Technology. After completing their secondary education, Ivo went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Physics at the University of Twente. Ivo was enrolled in this program from 2011 to 2016. Later, Ivo furthered their studies at the University of Twente, specializing in Optics through a Master's program in Applied Physics. Ivo successfully completed this program from 2016 to 2018.
