Emily Klein Rot began their career in 2015 as a Research Analyst at Saxion Hogescholen. In 2017, they moved to University of Portsmouth as a Stagaire. In 2019, they joined LipoCoat as Lab Manager R&D and R&D. At LipoCoat, they have developed the first bio-inspired antibacterial coatings for medical devices, reducing the infection risk by 95%.

Emily Klein Rot holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, which they obtained between 2014 and 2018, with a major in Life Sciences. Emily also holds a HAVO degree from Het Assink Lyceum, which they obtained between 2009 and 2014, with a major in Natuur en Gezondheid.
