Jake Necessary

Jake Necessary has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information technology and cybersecurity. Jake is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer/Vice President of Information Technology at LiquidAgents Healthcare, where they oversee IT functions, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management programs. Prior to this, Jake has held various roles such as President and Co-Owner at Promotional Attire, LLC, Principal Owner at SOURCE POINT MSP, Cybersecurity Architect/Security Practice Leader at Planet Technologies, Principle Cloud Consultant at Cloudreach, and Information Security Architect & Strategist at Planet Technologies. Jake has also worked at Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Cognizant, Mimecast, and NaviSite in leadership positions, where they were responsible for directing enterprise IT security architecture, cybersecurity initiatives, and compliance programs. Through their roles, Jake has demonstrated expertise in areas such as cloud strategy, security architecture, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Jake Necessary is currently a Doctoral Candidate pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration - Leadership at Liberty University, with an expected completion year of 2025. Prior to this, they obtained a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Cybersecurity from Capitol Technology University in 2017. In 2013, they completed a Master of Science in Information Technology with a focus on Information Assurance and Security at Capella University. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Security from American Public University System, which they completed in 2011. Jake attended the United States Naval Academy in 1993-1994, and Sullivan South High School from 1986 to 1990. Furthermore, Jake has additional certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional obtained in 2012 from (ISC)², and as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
