Kate Novotny Angeles is an experienced professional in small business financing and economic development. Currently serving as the Director of Small Business Loan Funds at LISC Strategic Investments since September 2022, Kate engages with CDFI partners and manages financial reporting for loan funds. Previously, as Director of Capital Access at the NYC Department of Small Business Services, Kate oversaw a team providing financing services and managed NYC loan funds aimed at supporting women and minority entrepreneurs. Kate's career includes roles such as Economic Development Lending Manager at LISC, where Kate developed small business lending products, and Lending Manager at Accion Chicago, overseeing lending performance. Additionally, Kate has experience as a founder and CEO of Buena Vida Coffee, where Kate secured significant funding and developed business models. Kate holds a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies, Spanish, and Economics from Marquette University.
