Literacy Pittsburgh
Erica Hom is an experienced English Second Language Instructor at Literacy Pittsburgh since April 2018, where responsibilities include facilitating remote and in-person ESL classes for beginning and intermediate learners, as well as coordinating admissions for the English Language Learning Program. Additionally, Erica serves as a Poetry Reader for Sepia, providing editorial feedback on submissions. Previous experience includes serving as an Americorps Member at Jewish Family and Community Services of Pittsburgh, where case management support was provided to refugee families and mentorship programs were developed. Erica has also worked as a Case Manager for AJAPO and an ESL Instructor at the International Youth Center, and served as a Team Leader and Reading Tutor for the America Reads Challenge. Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language and Literature and Applied Linguistics from the University of Pittsburgh.
