Leah M. Patterson

Program Coordinator at Literacy Pittsburgh

Leah M. Patterson currently serves as a Graduate Assistant at Point Park University since August 2022 and as a Program Coordinator at Literacy Pittsburgh since April 2021. Between November 2016 and February 2020, Leah held the position of Chief Program Officer at Hill House Association, where management of a $3 million budget and leadership of 12 staff members were essential in overseeing workforce development, senior services, and neighborhood services. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Director at the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh from November 2012 to April 2016, where Leah guided fundraising efforts and board recruitment to support programs, and as Manager of Youth Programs at Rankin Christian Center from November 2003 to August 2012, focusing on youth support initiatives. Leah participated in the Women In Leadership program through Coro Pittsburgh in 2014. Educational qualifications include ongoing doctoral studies in Educational Leadership and Administration at Point Park University and a Master’s degree in Adult and Community Education, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
