Literacy Pittsburgh (formerly Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council) helps create better lives through learning. Recognized as a national leader in adult and family literacy, Literacy Pittsburgh is the largest provider of adult basic education in Allegheny County. Literacy Pittsburgh helps some 4000 individuals each year acquire reading, writing, math, English language, computer and workforce skills so they may reach their fullest potential in life and participate productively in their communities.

The Educational Instructors team at Literacy Pittsburgh is dedicated to empowering adult learners by providing instruction in reading, writing, math, English language, computer, and workforce skills. This team of professionals and volunteers offers personalized and group lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students, including ESL (English as a Second Language), GED preparation, digital skills, family literacy, and citizenship tutoring, to help individuals achieve their personal, educational, and career goals.
