Stephen Rue, ACMA, CGMA

Stephen Rue, ACMA, CGMA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Stephen currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at Lithion Power Group Ltd., a vertically integrated manufacturer of power solutions for critical applications. Stephen also serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the same company. Stephen has been with Lithion since 2014.

Prior to joining Lithion, Stephen was a Board Member of the Calgary Chapter at Financial Executives International Canada (FEI Canada) from 2014 to 2017.

From 2006 to 2014, Stephen worked at Oilflow Solutions Inc. in various roles, including Chief Financial Officer and Financial Controller. Stephen was responsible for leading the Finance Department and other administrative functions, managing budgets and forecasts, overseeing complex audits, and handling legal negotiations, among other responsibilities.

In 2005, Stephen worked at Accenture as a Performance Unit Team Lead. Stephen led a team responsible for management accounting and reporting processes for a $500M division.

Stephen also gained experience at Air Products as a UK Speciality Gases Accountant/Analyst and European Financial Analyst from 2000 to 2004. Stephen started their career at Shell as an Accountant from 1998 to 1999.

From 1996 to 2000, they attended Robert Gordon University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Accounting & Finance. Following that, they pursued further studies at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from 2002 to 2004, specializing in Chartered Management Accounting and obtaining the ACMA qualification.
