Kate Russell has extensive work experience in the field of fundraising and donor engagement. Kate currently holds the position of Senior Director of Advancement at Little Free Library since September 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Planned Parenthood North Central States as a Senior Manager of Donor Engagement from July 2021 to September 2022, and as a Senior Donor Relations and Stewardship Manager from October 2020 to July 2021.
Before joining Planned Parenthood, Kate worked at BWF as an Associate Vice President from June 2018 to April 2020. Kate also has experience in development roles at Macalester College as an Associate Director of Leadership Giving from September 2016 to June 2018, The Blake School as a Director of Annual Giving from December 2013 to September 2016, and St. Olaf College as an Assistant Director of Annual Giving from August 2012 to December 2013.

Kate also worked as a Staff Paralegal at Armstrong Teasdale LLP from September 2007 to July 2010 and as a Civil Litigation Intern at the Office of the Attorney General, District of Columbia from January 2007 to March 2007.
Kate began their professional career as an Admissions Fellow at Carleton College from June 2006 to September 2006.
Kate Russell completed their Bachelor's degree in Political Science at Carleton College from 2003 to 2007. Later, from 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Master's degree in Theological Studies at Vanderbilt University.
