Shawn McCarthy

Shawn McCarthy is a dedicated professional in the field of recreation and therapy, currently serving as the CDS Program Coordinator and Developmental Trainer at Little Friends, Inc. since October 2011. Responsibilities include training and supervising adults with disabilities in vocational skills, developing Individual Support Plans (ISP), and preparing comprehensive progress reports. Additionally, Shawn has been the Head Instructor at Western DuPage Special Recreation Association since January 2009, where responsibilities encompass facilitating social and athletic programs, developing lesson plans, and evaluating staff performance. An internship at the Wheaton Park District in 2010 provided hands-on experience in designing recreation programs and assisting with special events. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation Administration from the University of St. Francis, earned between 2008 and 2010.
