Shoham Arad is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in design, education, and arts leadership. Currently serving as Director of TED Fellows at TED Conferences since February 2013, Shoham also holds the position of Adjunct Professor at Parsons School of Design since 2017, where contributions are made to the School of Constructed Environments. Additionally, Shoham Arad is an active board member at Fine Acts and serves as Arts Advisor for Little Island NYC, focusing on community engagement and creative celebration. Involvement with the Museum for the United Nations - UN Live as a Steering Committee Member emphasizes a commitment to global initiatives. Previous roles include Responsible Leader at the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt and Collaborator at New York Live Arts. Shoham's design background includes founding Shoham Arad Designs, creating diverse, small-batch production items. Little Island NYC

Little Island is a new public park funded by the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation. It is part of Hudson River Park, located at Pier 55, entrances at 13th/14th St. Little Island is designed by Heatherwick Studio and MNLA and the design includes a distinctive sculptural structure of 132 unique ‘tulips’ rising above the Hudson River from 15 to 62 feet high, and a lush, seasonal, landscape that features rolling hills, walking paths and open lawns, with dazzling views of NYC and a beautifully curated mix of trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses. Little Island has a 687 seat amphitheater, an intimate stage for 200 visitors and an open plaza, all designed to host a range of programming for all ages, from theater, dance, and music to food and beverage experiences to educational programs and community events. Little Island will provide New Yorkers, and its visitors, with a unique urban oasis--a place for experiences that ignite imagination, foster spontaneity and play, and support camaraderie and connection.
