Camila Quintero, LMHC, LPC has over seven years of experience in the mental health field. Camila began their career in 2011 as an After School Counselor at Franklin Academy Charter Schools, where they developed and implemented educational activities and recreational programs for grades kinder, first and second. In 2014, they were a Counselor at Corrections Transitions INC-Men Going Home, helping re-integrate inmates to society by educating them with life skills. That same year, they were a Mental Health Counselor at Pre-K Summer Treatment Program, facilitating two parenting weekly group evening sessions in English and Spanish and helping parents develop skills to reduce problem behaviors, to improve their child's task skills and relationships with parents and peers. Camila was also an Assessment Specialist at Pre-K Summer Treatment Program, administering and scoring ORF and PPVT assessment protocols for all students participating in intervention. In 2015, they were a Clinical Intern at Jewish Community Services of South Florida, conducting outpatient therapy and intake assessments including bio psychosocial with children, adolescents, and adults with a range of clinical concerns. In 2016, they were an Admissions Specialist at Oliver-Pyatt Centers and a Clinical Intern at Wellspring Counseling Miami, developing and implementing treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge. In 2017, they were a Clinical Intake Specialist at Monte Nido, conducting bio-psychosocial assessment for potential clients (adolescent and adults) for all three brands. In 2018, they were the School Counseling Director at Divine Savior Academy, developing, managing and supervising a comprehensive school counseling program. Currently, they are the Clinical Manager, Parenting Specialty Services at Little Otter, providing high-quality, personalized care and evidence-based teletherapy via the Little Otter platform to children ages 0-14 years old, parents, and families. Camila also provides assessment and treatment planning using validated measures and clinical interviewing with children and parents, and conducts evidence-based interventions for children and parents including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies, Exposure Therapy for Anxiety, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
Camila Quintero, LMHC, LPC has a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Florida International University, which they obtained between 2014 and 2016. Camila also has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Florida International University, which they obtained between 2010 and 2014. In addition, they hold a Provisional Educator Certificate from the Florida Department of Education, which they obtained in July 2020. Camila is currently in the process of obtaining a National Certified Counselor (NCC) from the National Board for Certified Counselors, which they are expected to obtain in March 2022. Camila also holds a Clinical Mental Health Counselor from the STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.
