Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority
Jean Block has a diverse work experience. Jean started their career as an Attorney at Wilson & Associates, PLLC Attorneys at Law in Arkansas & Tennessee from 2002 to 2005. Jean then joined the Arkansas Attorney General's office as an Assistant Attorney General from 2005 to 2012. In 2011, they also served as a Little Rock Water Reclamation Commission Member through a mayoral appointment until 2015. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as the Chief Legal Counsel at the Office of the Arkansas Lottery. Currently, they are working at the Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority, initially as the Chief Legal Officer from 2016 to 2023, and later as the Chief Executive Officer from 2023 to the present.
Jean Block has a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, they hold a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Kansas School of Law.
Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority
Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority exists to preserve and replenish the environment by reclaiming our most valuable resource, water. The collection and treatment services protect both public health and the environment. LRWRA is responsible for inspecting and maintaining approximately 1,400 miles of sewer; 32,000 manholes; and serves a population of approximately 200,000. LRWRA is overseen jointly by the Chief Executive Officer and the Little Rock Water Reclamation Commission, which is comprised of seven members. These citizens are appointed by the Little Rock City Board of Directors.
