Littleton Equine Medical Center was founded in spring 1950 by Dr. Harry W. Johnson in association with Dr. William "Bill" Howarth; the practice evolved to Littleton Large Animal Clinic then to Littleton Equine Medical Center over the next 60 years. What was initially a farm animal out-patient practice is now an equine veterinary clinic and referral hospital featuring mobile practice, surgery, ophthalmology and advanced diagnostic services including x-ray, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine. The Certified Surgeons and one Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners; a support staff of 50 including certified equine veterinary technicians, assistants and office personnel.
