Ahmed Alata

Ahmed Alata, CPA, currently serves as the Vice President and Credit Risk Officer at Live Oak Bank, focusing on credit analytics, including the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL/CECL), risk ratings, credit reporting, and qualitative factors since June 2023. Prior to this role, Ahmed worked as a Sr. Analyst in Modeling and Credit Analytics at Flagstar Bank from August 2018 to June 2023, where responsibilities included ACL/ALLL, CECL implementation, dual risk rating implementation, and utilizing Moody’s models and scorecards. Ahmed's earlier experience includes auditing at PwC as an Associate in Audit and Assurance Services and internship roles at the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Ahmed holds a BBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
