Melissa O'Buch is a seasoned banking professional with over 25 years of experience in various credit and risk management roles. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Senior Small Business Banking Credit Officer at Live Oak Bank since May 2013, Melissa is responsible for credit extensions and modifications for small and middle market businesses, along with oversight of multiple credit-related projects. Notable past positions include managing a diverse loan portfolio and developing loan review processes at several banks, including Southern Community Bank and Trust and First South Bank. Melissa has a strong background in renewable energy lending, having funded over $500 million in loans, and has created and managed loan review positions across different institutions. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Melissa blends extensive experience with a solid educational foundation.
