Karla Atencio

Karla Atencio is an experienced educator with a diverse background in dual-immersion and biliteracy teaching across various educational settings. Currently serving as a Dual-Immersion Teacher at Live Oak School District since August 2021, Karla previously taught at INSTITUTO BILINGUE VICTORIA GAMA, S.C. and Empower Charter School, where responsibilities included managing dual-immersion classrooms for multiple grade levels. Additional roles include online English instruction with VIPKid and coaching for Girls on the Run International. Karla's educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, complemented by an Associate's Degree from Southwestern Community College District.
