David Abdallah has a strong background in software and hardware engineering, with over 20 years of experience in various roles. David is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at LiveAction Software, where they lead the development of a high-speed network packet capture appliance and a cloud-based network flow analysis pipeline.

Before that, David worked at Scanoptix, Inc. as a Principle Engineer and Director of Embedded Development, overseeing the development of medical imaging devices for ophthalmologists and optometrists. David was responsible for PCB design, managing relationships with manufacturing partners, and developing embedded firmware for Linux-based prototypes.

Prior to Scanoptix, David worked at Everactive as a Principle Software Engineer, playing a key role in the development of ARM Cortex-based SoCs. David'sresponsibilities included presilicon simulation, post-silicon validation, and driver framework/application development.

David's earlier experience includes working as a Hardware Engineer at Frontline Test Equipment, where they led the development of a next-generation Bluetooth protocol analyzer. David also worked at Privaris, Inc. as a Product Architect, designing and implementing hardware, embedded firmware, and host-side software.

David started their career as an Engineer at the University of Virginia, where they developed embedded firmware for data acquisition systems and worked on the design of automated firing systems and fault injection systems for safety-critical digital systems.

David began their career at Hand Held Products as an Engineer, gaining valuable experience before moving on to more advanced roles.

David Abdallah attended the University of Virginia from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
