Karl Thompson

Karl Thompson has worked in software engineering since 2012. In 2015, they worked as a Software Developer at IGT and Towers Watson. In 2016, they joined DealerSocket as a Software Engineer II and was later promoted to Software Engineer. In 2021, they joined LiveAuctioneers as a Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Neumont University, they were the President of the Japanese Language Club and gained experience in the fundamentals of software development. Karl also served as a subject matter expert in React and Redux, presented a company-wide training lunch-and-learn about UI testing React components, and developed a JIRA Precommit Hook.

Karl Thompson attended Rock Creek Jr/Sr High School from 2007 to 2012. Karl then went on to Neumont College of Computer Science from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a BSGD in Software and Game Development. Karl also holds certifications from Pluralsight and ScrumUtah, including Getting Started with Apache Kafka (November 2018), Scrum Master Certification (March 2015), Continuous Testing with NCrunch, Encapsulation and SOLID, and Getting Started With Elasticsearch for .NET Developers.
