Joseph C. Mcnay

Joe is Chairman, Chief Investment Officer, and a Senior Portfolio Manager at Essex Investment Management Company. Prior to founding Essex in 1976, Joe was Executive Vice President and Director of Endowment Management & Research Corp and Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at the Massachusetts Company. Joe also serves as Distinguished Trustee and member of the Investment Committee and Trustee Science Committee of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Trustee Emeritus of the Boston Ballet, Boston Children’s Hospital Investment Committee Board Member, Honorary Advisor of the Museum of Fine Arts and a member of its Investment Committee, Advisor Emeritus of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Member of the Yale School of Management Board of Advisors, Trustee of Tenacity, Trustee of The New England Foundation, and is on the Board of Directors of RegeneRx and Seno Medical. He received his AB degree from Yale University and his MBA degree from the Wharton School of Finance.
