Christian Bjørnbak

Christian Bjørnbak started their work experience as a PHP Developer at The Factory.dk ApS in 1998. Christian then moved on to become a J2EE Developer responsible for the frontend layer at Integrator Uniware A/S from September 2000 to October 2001. Afterwards, they joined TouristOnline A/S and held various roles including JavaEE Developer, Technical Lead, and JavaEE Developer responsible for the frontend layer, starting from November 2001 to May 2018. Most recently, they have been working at LiveIntent, Inc. as a Scala Data Engineer from June 2018 and later promoted to the position of Principal Data Integration Engineer from February 2019.

Christian Bjørnbak completed their education at various institutions. Christian obtained a Diploma Degree in Computer Science from IT-Universitetet i København, studying from 2003 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended Lyngby Uddannelsescenter from 1997 to 1999, where they earned a degree in Datamatiker (Computer Science). In 1991, they studied at Roskilde Tekniske Skole and received a HTX degree, although the field of study is unspecified. Before their tertiary education, Bjørnbak attended Havdrup skole from 1982 to 1992, though no degree was obtained in this case. Additionally, they have a number of certifications, such as "Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark" and "Parallel programming" from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), obtained in 2020 and 2019 respectively, as well as several Scala-related certifications and a "Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform" certification from Sun Microsystems, obtained in 2011.
