Gonçalo Costa

Gonçalo Costa has a diverse background in software testing, DevOps, and team leadership. Gonçalo started their career in 2015 at Celfocus, where they worked as a Software Tester and Test Manager, responsible for designing and executing test cases, tracking dependencies, and reporting bugs. Gonçalo also served as a SysAdmin for TV application support during this time. In 2017, they became the AWS DevOps Service Manager & SysAdmin at Celfocus, managing a team to maintain a Live! Data Broker + Splunk project in Amazon Web Services. Gonçalo was responsible for setting up services with clients and partners, managing AWS infrastructure, and overseeing DevOps services. In 2018, Gonçalo joined Fuze as a Backend as a Service DevOps Engineer, managing AWS infrastructure for the team and ensuring the smooth operation of services. Gonçalo later became the DevOps Team Lead, leading the team and responsible for sustaining the Fuze platform. In 2022, Fuze was acquired by 8x8, and Gonçalo continued their role as DevOps Team Lead, managing projects, leading the team, and sustaining the Fuze platform. Currently, they are employed at Lively, Inc. as a DevOps Engineer, starting in 2023.

Gonçalo Costa completed their secondary education at Escola Secundária Homem Cristo from 2007 to 2010, with a focus on science and technology. Gonçalo achieved an average grade of 16 during this period.

Following their secondary education, Gonçalo pursued a Master's degree in Engineering with a specialization in Electronics and Telecommunications at Universidade de Aveiro. Gonçalo attended the university from 2010 to 2015.
