María Isabel Gouverneur has a diverse work experience in the field of design and product development. María Isabel started their career as a Design Director & Designer at Ben Watts Photography in 2002, where they led re-branding efforts and developed a customized content management system. María Isabel then worked as a Design Director at Donna Morgan & Ali Ro, leading brand and digital transformation initiatives. In 2013, they joined MRM Worldwide as a Digital Senior Art Director.
In the following years, María Isabel held various roles, including Design Director & Designer at Studio Analogous, Design Lead & Designer at Scholastic, and Design Director at Synechron, where they managed teams and implemented design thinking approaches. María Isabel also worked as a Design Director at Enigma Technologies, Inc., leading design team efficiency improvements and unifying product offerings.
In 2019, María Isabel joined Thynk Digital as a Design Director. María Isabel secured a contract with the First Abu Dhabi Bank and led a remote and diverse team. The bank experienced a significant increase in annual revenue as a result.
In 2021, María Isabel became a Product Design Lead, Customer Growth at Lively, a company focused on providing hearing devices and empowering people with hearing loss. Following Lively's acquisition, they continued their role at Jabra Hearing, leading customer growth and working on democratizing hearing aids.
Throughout their career, María Isabel has worked on projects and collaborations with various companies and institutions, including Cypher Health, Real Simple Magazine, D'Agostino Grocery Stores, IDB Inter-American Development Bank, and many others.
María Isabel Gouverneur pursued their education in a chronological manner. María Isabel began their studies in 1987 at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. María Isabel attended this institution for six years, until 1993, focusing their studies on the field of Economy. Following a significant gap, they returned to education in 1997, enrolling in the Parsons School of Design - The New School. Within this institution, they pursued Continuing Education in Graphic Design and completed their studies in 1999. Lastly, in 2015, María Isabel Gouverneur attended General Assembly to obtain a degree in User Experience Design. María Isabel exclusively studied User Experience Design at General Assembly for that year.
