Ian Williams

Ian Williams has extensive work experience in finance and resources management. Ian currently serves as the Corporate Director of Finance and Resources (Section 151) for Liverpool City Council since 2023. Prior to this role, they held various positions at the London Borough of Hackney, including Group Director of Finance and Corporate Resources, Chief Executive (Acting), Group Director - Finance and Corporate Resources, Corporate Director of Finance and Resources, and Assistant Director of Finance. Ian also worked as the Head of Financial Planning and Accountancy at the London Borough of Camden. Their early career includes various accountancy roles at Staffordshire County Council.

Ian Williams attended St Joseph's RC High School in Wrexham from 1989 to 1994. Ian then went on to study at Yale Sixth Form College in Wrexham from 1994 to 1996. Finally, they attended the University of Birmingham from 1996 to 1999, although no degree or field of study was provided.
