DataOps Engineer at Living Map

Francisco Jiménez has a diverse work experience in the field of data and analytics. Francisco started their career as a Data Analyst at Ulster University in 2021, where they cleaned and prepared data for analysis and developed machine learning models to predict Malaria hotspots. Francisco also created data visualizations using charts, graphs, and maps.

In 2022, Francisco worked as an Academic Support at Queen's University Belfast, where they provided additional academic support to students in the areas of Geography and Computer Science. Francisco ensured that students fully understood the concepts taught and produced reports on their academic progress.

Following this, Francisco joined Living Map in 2022 as a Junior Data Developer. Francisco'sresponsibilities included developing a data pipeline with Python and PySpark to standardize Indoor Map Data Format (IMDF) data and interact with databases. This tool enabled faster project creation and increased the company's capacity to handle more clients. Francisco later transitioned to the role of DataOps Engineer at Living Map in 2023.

In addition to their professional experience, Francisco also worked as a Geospatial Science Tutor at Ulster University, starting in 2022, where they provided tutoring in Geospatial Science. Overall, Francisco has a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and academic support.

Francisco Jiménez pursued their MSc in Geographic Information Systems at Ulster University from 2018 to 2022. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications. In November 2021, they completed the "Learning Data Visualization with D3.js" course offered by LinkedIn. In July 2021, they successfully finished the "Parallel Programming with Dask in Python" course provided by DataCamp. Lastly, in March 2021, they completed the "Introduction to Scala" course, also offered by DataCamp.
