David Walton is the Director and Environmental Planning Consultant at Valley Environmental Consulting Ltd, a role held since May 2013, where David collaborates with Nic Baddeley to provide a comprehensive range of environmental and planning services to diverse clients. David is a Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and serves as an Independent Board Member for livin housing ltd. David's previous positions include Green Infrastructure Programme Manager for Groundwork NE & Cumbria and Senior Environmental Consultant at White Young Green. David's educational background includes an MA in Environmental Politics and Policy and a BA in Geography and Politics from Keele University. Key projects include planning consultancy for eco-home developments, feasibility studies for parks, and strategic environmental assessments for renewable energy initiatives.

We are Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking. We want to create a walking nation, free from congested roads and pollution, reducing the risk of preventable illness and social isolation and making walking the natural choice. We believe that a walking nation means progress for everyone. Our ambition is to get people of all generations to enjoy the benefits that this simple act brings and to ensure all our streets are fit for walking. For more than 90 years we’ve been a beacon for walking. In our early days our campaigning led to the UK’s first zebra crossings and speed limits. Now, our campaigns and local projects deliver real change to overcome barriers to walking and our ground breaking initiatives such as the world’s biggest Walk to School campaign encourage millions of people to walk. Progress starts here: one street, one school, one step at a time.
