Kathryn Shaw has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Kathryn started their career in 2008 as a Marketing and Sales Support Assistant at Northern Flags, where they assisted in managing key accounts and implementing marketing strategies. From 2009 to 2014, Kathryn worked at re'new, first as a Communications Administration Assistant and later as a Communications Coordinator. In these roles, they were responsible for internal communications, press releases, website management, and supporting the recruitment of young unemployed individuals.
In 2014, Kathryn joined Local Motion (Darlington Borough Council) as a Marketing and Communications Officer. Kathryn implemented a comprehensive communications strategy, wrote copy for successful campaigns, managed the organization's website and social media, and produced offline marketing materials.
Kathryn's next role was at Bauer Academy in 2016, where they completed a five-day course on publishing content in the digital world.
Since 2015, Kathryn has been working at Living Streets, initially as a Media and PR Coordinator and later as the Head of Communications and Marketing. Kathryn has also worked as an interim Head of Communications and Marketing.

Kathryn Shaw attended Haughton Community School in Darlington from 1998 to 2003. Kathryn then moved on to Queen Elizabeth VI Form College from 2003 to 2005.
