Bob Whitney has extensive work experience at Livingston & Haven. Bob began their career at the company in 1991 as a Hydraulic Technician, responsible for ensuring the proper assembly of hydraulic power units and mechanical assemblies. Bob held this position until 2004 when they became a Project Engineer/Manager, overseeing the design and engineering process for hydraulic, lubrication, and automation systems. In 2018, Bob was promoted to Engineering Manager/Team Leader, where they managed and coached a team while also directly managing ongoing projects ranging from $1,000 to $500,000 in value. In 2021, they were promoted to Vice President of Engineering and Project Management.

Bob Whitney's education history begins in 1988 when they attended Central Piedmont Community College and obtained a Diploma in Welding Technology/Welder in 1990. Bob later pursued further education at the same college in 1996 but did not obtain a degree, engaging in Technical Special Studies. In 2002, Bob enrolled in York Technical College and earned a Diploma in Engineering Graphics in 2004.

Additionally, Bob obtained two certifications from the International Fluid Power Society. In July 1999, they achieved the Fluid Power Hydraulic Technician certification, and in November 2001, they became a Hydraulic Specialist.
