Kathy Hurley

Kathy Hurley is the current Advisor at LivingTree. Kathy has also worked as the Director of Student Growth at Pearson Education, Assistant Principal at Newport Mesa Unified School District, and Dean of Students at Newport Mesa Unified School District. Kathy has been working in the field of education for over 15 years and is a national expert in the area of Early Warning Systems and data analytics. In their previous role at Pearson, they managed the ongoing development and integration of the Prevent application into Pearson's Student Information Systems. Kathy also directed an outsourced staff of developers from the Ukraine in an Agile development process. In addition, they formed the Pearson Graduation Success Advisory Board and championed Pearson's role in dropout prevention to national organizations. Kathy has also published “Lessons Learned in Early Warning Systems” and received a Tech and Learning - Award of Excellence: Best New Product.

Kathy Hurley has a MA in Educational Leadership from California State University, Fullerton and a BS in Science Education - Biology from East Carolina University.
