Jason Rodriguez

Jason Rodriguez, AICP, is a seasoned urban planner with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the planning and transportation sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Planning for the Southwest Region at LJA Engineering, Inc. since May 2023, Rodriguez previously held the position of Senior Planner/Project Manager at HNTB from February 2018 to May 2023. Prior to that, a decade of notable contributions at VIA Metropolitan Transit included roles such as Manager of Strategic Planning and Project Manager for the Streetcar project. Educational credentials include a graduate certificate and a Master of Science in Urban Planning and Transportation Research from The University of Texas at San Antonio, as well as a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. Additional experience encompasses positions in education and city governance, showcasing a diverse skill set in planning, management, and community engagement.
