Monica Nguyen

Monica Nguyen is a dedicated graduate engineer with experience in hydrology and hydraulics land development at LJA Engineering, Inc., since October 2022. Prior to this role, Monica served as a Graduate Engineer I at Baxter & Woodman and undertook a Senior Design Project with the Waste-management Education Research Consortium, where notable accomplishments included winning 1st place in a competition and achieving publication by IEEE Xplore. Additionally, Monica worked as a Research Associate at the Louisiana Transportation Research Center, focusing on infrastructure materials, and completed a Field Engineering Internship at Halliburton, where efficiency improvements in fracking and cementing processes were identified. Monica's experience also includes customer service roles as a hostess and waitress at two restaurants. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from Louisiana State University.
