George Barstis

George is the CFO of LKC Technologies. He has more than 35 years of experience spanning various financial management positions with several large corporations including subsidiaries of Western Union Corporation, Fairchild Industries, and Contel Corporation. He spent eight years as the Chief Financial Officer of GTSI, during which he led GTSI through a successful IPO. In the years prior to teaming with Jim to acquire LKC Technologies, he acquired 13 small companies where he created enhanced values by a combination of improving operations and/or merging with similar companies and eventually selling the resulting combined entity.

In a previous life, George had a 20-year military career, where he held various leadership and command positions in both infantry operations and financial management. In addition to a combat tour in Vietnam, he served as an Army Comptroller and the Comptroller of the Maryland Army National Guard.

George is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds an MBA from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Silver Spring, MD and Ocean City, MD.
