Melanie Campbell is currently the CFO of the Retail Division at Lloyds Banking Group, where financial strategy and performance management are overseen for the UK’s largest retail bank, handling £300 billion in deposits and £360 billion in lending. With a strong background at Barclays spanning over a decade, Melanie served as Managing Director, Consumer, Cards and Payments Controller, providing financial leadership across consumer finance and credit card businesses in multiple countries. Additional roles at Barclays included Chief Financial Officer for the UK Chief Operating Office, Head of UK Costs, and Financial Controller for the UK, Europe, and Middle East, all focusing on financial performance, governance, and regulatory compliance. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Taxation, Management Accounting, and Auditing, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and is affiliated with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and ICAEW.
