Rhian Evans is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in both public sector finance and governance. Currently serving as Chief Accountant at Cyngor Sir Ddinbych (Denbighshire County Council) since March 2021, Rhian also holds the position of Independent Member of the National Library of Wales Audit and Risk Committee. Previous experience includes various roles at Wrexham County Borough Council from 2009 to 2021, including Finance Business Partner and Finance Manager, and leadership roles at CIPFA, culminating in the Presidency of the CIPFA Cymru Wales Branch from 2011 to 2019. Rhian's career began as a Graduate Trainee at Meirionnydd District Council, following a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Law from Aberystwyth University.
